Before selection, understanding the model code is crucial for determining the core configuration. Take the common model GGK60-10-P-400-A1-F0 as an example:
Series Code (GGK): High-precision single-axis module integrating a ball screw and linear guideway.
Base Width (60): Represents the lateral width of the base (mm), which determines the overall load capacity.
Screw Lead (10): The distance the block travels per one revolution of the motor (10mm).
Accuracy Grade (P): C for Normal Grade (±0.02mm); P for Precision Grade (±0.003mm).
Rail Length (400): Total length of the base (Note: This is not the effective stroke).
Number of Blocks (A1): Standard is one block (A1); double blocks (A2) can be customized for higher loads or moments.
The GGK series utilizes a U-shaped high-rigidity steel base, offering structural strength far superior to standard aluminum profile modules.
| Parameter | GGK40 | GGK50 | GGK60 | GGK86 (Heavy Duty) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Base Width | 40mm | 50mm | 60mm | 86mm |
| Base Height | 33mm | 39mm | 46mm | 66mm |
| Available Leads | 1mm | 2mm | 5 / 10mm | 10 / 20mm |
| Dynamic Load Rating | 3,930 N | 6,140 N | 11,620 N | 28,300 N |
| Max Horizontal Load | ~8kg | ~15kg | ~30kg | ~60kg - 100kg |
| Main Applications | Lab/Micro-positioning | Assembly/Cantilever Y-axis | Handling/Inspection | Gantry/Palletizing |
Compared to smaller models, the GGK86 is significantly reinforced for large-scale automation:
Extreme Moment Rigidity: The radial and lateral rigidity of the GGK86 is immense. In multi-axis setups (e.g., Cartesian robots), it often serves as the X-axis base, supporting the weight and dynamic impact of all upper axes.
High-Lead Advantage: Offering a 20mm lead, it achieves high linear speeds (over 1000mm/s) when paired with high-power servo motors, significantly improving production cycle times.
Extended Stroke Support: Standard rail lengths reach up to 940mm or more. Due to the wider and thicker base, it resists vibration at long strokes much better than the GGK60, effectively avoiding resonance issues during high-speed rotation.

Technical Analysis:
This video demonstrates the performance of the GGK50 precision module under extreme "Horizontal Cantilever" and "Offset Load" conditions. The test focuses on validating the U-shaped steel base's ability to withstand radial and overturning moments when the center of gravity is shifted. Even with an asymmetric load, the GGK50 exhibits high dynamic stability and smooth drive performance, proving its reliability in precision assembly.
Overturning Moment (): The cantilever test is the "ultimate exam." The integrated guideway design of the GGK50 cancels out torques caused by offset gravity, preventing micro-tilting or vibration during high-speed reciprocating motion.
Base Rigidity Coefficient: The heat-treated steel base ensures that "deflection" at the tip of the cantilever is minimized, maintaining processing accuracy even at full extension.
Dynamic Response: Observing the stability during start/stop phases shows that the GGK50 maintains a very short settling time under offset loads, which is vital for high-frequency dispensing or pick-and-place tasks.
Light Load/Compact Space: Prioritize GGK40/GGK50.
General Purpose/Versatility: GGK60 is the industry standard with the best balance of cost-performance and rigidity.
Heavy Load/Long Stroke: You must use GGK86. If the load exceeds 30kg or the cantilever length is significant, the GGK86 provides the torque support necessary to extend the service life of the screw and rails.
Lead Selection:
Vertical Axis (Z-axis): Choose 2mm/5mm (Better self-locking and precision).
Horizontal High-Speed Axis: Choose 10mm/20mm (Better efficiency).
